The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
I saw The Hunger Games twice in the cinema last year and
loved it so much that I ended up reading the trilogy twice (having not properly
read a book in yeeears – so bad, I know). I loved the books even more and now cannot
wait for the next movie installment of the trilogy. Plus, as you know, I'm a
huge Jennifer Lawrence fan (actually triggered by The Hunger Games movie), making
the wait even more difficult!
(Spoiler coming up!)
Basically, Catching Fire continues Katniss's story after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games in the first book, but not in the way that the organisers want, putting her in a very dangerous place and them in a very powerful one. She has to fight again, all the while unaware that many of the others have a much bigger battle in mind…

The Bling Ring
After my big Hunger Games Trilogy obsession, I decided that
it was about time I should read all the Harry Potter books, so I read through
them all, watching the film adaptation after each book. This resulted in a bit of
a girl-crush on Emma Watson which didn't last too long, but still makes me want
to see her performance in the movie of the Bling Ring – the nickname for the group of (mainly) teenagers who stole somewhere around $3million's-worth of goods from a bunch of 'A-list' celebs including Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. I like the idea of the story itself being adapted into a film too, even if it is unfortunately based on a true
story!
UK Release Date: 5th July
My sister and friend Adam got me into the Marvel films about
the Avengers, so I've seen them all now, and love Avengers Assemble, so
naturally I am looking forward to seeing these. Iron Man and Thor are my fave characters out of the lot (Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic, and I could listen to Chris
Hemsworth's voice all day), so I wonder where their stories will go next.
Obviously, as Iron Man 3 is out in just a few days, I've seen the trailers, and it
looks AWESOME. Can't wait to see the full thing.
UK Release Date: 26th April and 30th

These are the main ones, but here's also a quick list of
other possibilities I might fancy:
The Great Gatsby (didn't like the book, but Baz
Luhrmann's one of my favourite directors, so I’m willing to give it a go!); The Hangover Part 3; Despicable
Me 2; Monsters University; Kick Ass 2; and This is the End (looks hilarious, and it's
a great concept).
Which films are you keen to see this year? Let me know if
you have any other suggestions! I'm trying to widen the genres I watch, so I'm
open to anything! Well, except horror! :)
